九龍皇帝曾灶財駕崩﹐享年八十六歲。他可算是一代香港人的集體回憶﹐他四十年來默默耕耘﹐在港九各區的天橋底﹐電燈柱﹐護土牆上留下無數的御筆親題。我們每天也路過九龍皇帝的墨寶﹐但沒有人會停下來細閱九龍皇帝的聖言﹐因為他的大字報和標語路牌一樣﹐與城市的背景融為一體﹐已經是我們日常生活的一部份。香港有很多人掉念他的離去﹐報紙更以頭版發表訃文﹐見證香江一代怪人的傳奇故事。在正常人的眼中﹐曾灶財精神有問題﹐因為翻查族譜﹐發現滿清皇帝賜九龍給他祖先為食邑﹐於是他四處塗鴉宣示主權﹐控訴在英國人搶去了他的封地。… [...] 
在金庸的六部長篇小說中﹐ 「射鵰英雄傳」是我看過次數最少的一部。除了初中時第一次看過以後再也沒有重讀﹐不像其他長篇般看過幾遍。「射鵰英雄傳」是金庸的第一部長篇小說﹐也是確立他一代武俠大師的巨著。當年我看的是初版﹐四十多本簿簿的小說﹐不是通常在圖書館借到五厚冊的那個舊版。詳細內容我已忘記得七七八八﹐這次重讀新修版有新書一樣的感覺﹐追看得十分痛快。初版與新修版的情節變動很大﹐印象最深刻的蛙蛤大戰竟然給刪去了﹐有點失望。反而網上很多人談論新修版中﹐新加關係黃藥師與梅超風的舊情﹐我則覺得可改可不改﹐只是沒有什麼特別的旁線。東邪素來不理世俗禮教的眼光﹐刻意避忌梅超風反而與東邪的性恪不合。… [...] When planning for a wedding, the two most important thing is the church and the banquet. 看香港政府推出的政制發展綠皮書﹐有點回到大學一年級時﹐讀政治科學入門(Political Science 101)的感覺。當年為應付考試只是囫圇吞棗地死讀﹐大部份課堂學到的內容早已還經教授﹐現在有點書到用時方恨少的感覺。有人會批評這本綠皮書選項瑣碎繁複﹐令市民卻步不去自行研究綠皮書的內容。這本薄薄六十頁的綠皮書絕不難讀﹐我用了一個小時左右就看完了。我認為這本綠皮書寫很十分好﹐對所有可能的政改方案均有詳細中肯的描述﹐沒有偏頗任何一方。政府希望市民達成共識後﹐才把方案呈上中央審批。其實只要市民心水清﹐主力爭取重點議題﹐放棄某些不重要支節的爭拗﹐達成共識不是難事。在各細選項的選擇﹐除了讚成或反對外﹐無所謂也可以是一種表態。… [...] Since I moved downstairs to the new department, I have acquired a new habit of drinking afternoon tea. 大陸中共官方拍輯的電視節目﹐一向充滿黨宣傳機器的腐陳沉悶味道。去年在十七大前在中央電視台播出的記錄片「大國崛起」﹐卻給人耳目一新的感覺。這節目不單製作精美內容嚴緊﹐雖與外國BBC或PBS記錄片的水準還有一段距離﹐歷史資料大致也上客觀中肯﹐總算觀眾看起來不會反胃嘔心。今年無線慶祝香港回歸十週年﹐七月起播出這套「大國崛起」﹐還請來狄娜小姐配上廣東話。我是看網上下載的原裝國語版﹐無從比較那兩個版本的優劣。有人也許說中央想藉此洗香港人的腦﹐那只是杞人憂天的陰謀論。用平常心去看待「大國崛起」﹐不計明珠台或有線的配音記錄片﹐大慨這是香港近幾年最有教育意義的中文電視節目。只是知識含量高正經八百的節目﹐在幾百萬人追看垃圾肥皂劇「溏心風暴」的香港社會﹐會有市場嗎﹖… [...] Finally, I am able to find some firearm magazine in Save On Food, thanks to the tips from Jackson. 對於八十年代長大的男孩﹐「變型金剛」肯定一個集體回憶的標記。這套美國動畫風靡全世界﹐每個小孩對它的玩具更是趨之若鶩。那些可以變身作機械人的汽車飛機﹐陪伴很多男孩渡過美好的童年。雖然「變型金剛」每隔一段日子就推出新一輯的動畫﹐但後來的新作絕不能取代第一代「變型金剛」的經典地位。當我們這代「變型金剛」迷聽到史蒂芬史匹堡開拍「變型金剛」真人版電影時﹐真的又驚又喜。歡喜是因為等了這麼多年﹐「變型金剛」卒之有機會搬上大銀幕﹐佷有興趣知道機械人會如何電腦特技化。驚的是因為恐怕「變型金剛」﹐會步上其他荷里活改篇電影的後塵﹐給刪改得面目全非失去原有色彩。觀眾對這套電影的評價很兩極化﹐連「變型金剛」多年的忠心支持者也意見分歧。我對這齣電影又愛又恨﹐愛它拍出了我預期的「變型金剛」﹐也恨它拍出我預期的「變型金剛」。不論電影的優點和缺點﹐從故事細節到場面設計﹐完全在預期之內。百分百完全美地執行﹐可惜欠缺一絲意外驚喜。… [...] Today I helped one of my superior spy on another colleague’s workspace in the network.
