Pat want to go to Karaoke with her bridesmaids in downtown before the wedding.\u00a0 She read from Geogria Striaght that Fantacity in Thurlow and Alberni is one of the “best” place to hang out in the evening.\u00a0 So we went there to check it out today.\u00a0 It is the my worst karaoke experience ever.\u00a0 Here are the seven deadly sins of Fantacity.<\/p>\n
1.\u00a0 It is a Korean Karaoke!\u00a0 It has some very old Chinese songs and a few English songs.\u00a0 I just can’t find any the songs I like to sing.<\/p>\n
2. They don’t use original MTV for the songs.\u00a0 I have no idea where they get their karaoke disc with random travel or natural life footage with funny MIDI music.\u00a0 You just can’t sing without a decent background music.<\/p>\n
3.\u00a0 The AV equipment sucks.\u00a0 They are still using CRT TV.\u00a0 Come on, even advertisment in toilet use LCD these days.\u00a0 The sound system is crap, I keep hearing funny cracks from the speakers.<\/p>\n
4. Song entry system form the 80’s.\u00a0 You have to find the song from a binder, then enter the 6 digit code.\u00a0 Worst of all, the system has zero buffer.\u00a0 You can only enter a new song after the current song is finish.<\/p>\n
5.\u00a0 It’s not cheap.\u00a0 It costs me $50 for 2 hours.<\/p>\n
6.\u00a0 It is stinky.\u00a0 I can smell the bleach they use to clean the floor.<\/p>\n
7.\u00a0 Zero service.\u00a0 We were there for two hours, but no one ever come to asked us whether I would like to order anything to drink or to eat.<\/p>\n
This karaoke is so bad that it is already added to to my black listed.\u00a0 It frustrated me so much that I paid them zero tips.\u00a0 The moral of this story is that never trust any reviews from any free newspaper.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
