The engineering gap

My experience agrees with the articles that many Indian engineers are not as good as they claim to be. But I don’t think a new standardize test will solve the problem. The test only would work until some PREP school cracked the marking scheme and training loads of high marks idiots.

Tongue twisters

I always thought Chinese is the most difficult language to learn with its tonic pronunciation and different writing system than European languages. It turns out the grammar rules of the most difficult language is way more complicate than Chinese. I am a believer of universal language theory, why the world need so many languages. It would be a lot more convenient if everyone speaks the same tongue. But, I may revise my position after I take philosophy of language.

The tyranny of the majority

Hong Kong is so behind in the progress of democracy. While we are still asking for basic democracy, the Americans is already dealing with the problem of having too much democracy. I wonder are there any pro-China politicians in HK would smart enough to quote the problems in California as an argument against the pro-democracy movement.
