要了解中世紀的神學﹐千萬不要抱有中世紀是黑暗世紀偏見﹐套用現代人的眼光去檢視中世紀的思想。中世紀的神學只一個中心思想﹐就是教會擁有超越世界的聖神真實性﹐在神聖的社會中領導文化和科學的思想﹐只要記著這一點就可以理解中世紀的所有神學觀念。中世紀的神學想思主要分為三大主流﹕學術主義(scholasticism)﹐神秘主義(mysticism)和聖經主義(biblicism)。這三者在中世紀時並不互相抵觸﹐只不過是解決信仰上的問題時﹐採用不同重點的進路。學術主義架構神學理論﹐神秘主義強調個人靈性的經驗﹐而聖經主義則為前兩者背書。… [...]
