This sentence is only correct in a way: the US’s crime rate is hundred of times higher than the UK despite all the changes and there is no chance that UK might catch up with US.
The crime that has risen in UK are all guns related. People just have more assess to guns illegally.
Sometimes, as a normal civilian, I wonder do we really need guns or not… It is a complex issue, but I’m glad that hevangel is thinking hard on these issues (or sometimes too hard or philosophical).

We don’t need guns. I recently visited Amsterdam and the city is the most peaceful in the world. And they have got legal drugs and prostitution and yet there is no problem.
If the people of the country has the peaceful mind, the country will be peaceful. Easy sad than done, but that is not impossible. I feel like moving to Amsterdam.
Ar.. Gun is legal in Netherland. It wouldn’t make sense if you legalize drug, prostitution but not guns if you have a strong libertarian tradition. All three can be justified by the “harm no other principle”.
Don’t be silly. Guns are illegal in anywhere else in the world other than in the North American continent. Guns are illegal in Holland. You can’t murder people with drugs and prostitues. People can only kill themselves with drugs and prostitues.
Gun is legal in Australia, Brazil, South Africa, Switzerland, Finland, and yes Netherland. (see wiki and search on gun law)
You can murder people with many things, you don’t everything that can be used to murder people.
Don’t just hide here, pls go back to ttf and fight, or go to Iraq and use ur gun.
