說起什麼是貧窮﹐大部份人必定會想起非洲那些餓很瘦骨如柴的飢民﹐ 又或者在電視新聞上看起那些衣不蔽體﹐頂無片瓦的難民。畢境不論是基於人道責任還是身為人類的同情心﹐我們也不能接受社會上有人連生存的權利也沒有保障。可幸的隨著經濟發展人民生活日漸富裕﹐社會有能力負擔公共福利為人民提供最基本的生活必需﹐在發達國家中生活於貧窮線下的人數已大幅減少。在今天的香港社會中﹐相信不會出現路有凍死骨或小孩子要挨肚餓的慘況。正當我們的滅貧大計取得空前成功﹐一些社會學者卻提出貧窮一個的新慨念。他們把上述的問題稱為絕對貧窮… [...] Normally, people hate watching TV commercials. 我也好久沒有玩電腦遊戲了﹐對上一個玩的遊戲已是多年前的三國誌十﹐想不到「萬艦齊發2」這個三年前的舊遊戲﹐竟然讓我重溫打機的美好時光。即時戰略遊戲「萬艦齊發」第一代在九九年推出﹐是首個凝造出太空艦隊間戰爭氣勢彭拜的遊戲。當年憑著突破性的畫面﹐引人入勝的科幻故事情節﹐以及創新的3D即時戰略操控介面﹐成為那年度最佳評價的遊戲。「萬艦齊發」第二代變化不大﹐只是改良第一代的遊戲引擎﹐並加入一個全新的故事。本來只是一個毫不起眼的續集﹐不過由於這個遊戲是屈指可數的太空戰略遊戲﹐成為很多科幻系列擁躉私下改良的對象﹐把遊戲中原本的船艦換成喜愛科幻系列中的船艦。在網上流傳的改良版本眾多﹐有「星戰大戰」﹐「高達」﹐「超時空要塞」等等著名的科幻系列。我原本只是好奇下載了「高達」的改良版來看看﹐結果開啟後一發不可收拾﹐要完成單人故事模式方肯罷休。… [...]

You may wonder what’s fun about cooking… [...] 美國維珍尼亞理工發生的駭人槍擊時件﹐美藉韓裔學生在校院槍殺三十多人﹐時隔兩天NBC電視台收到兇手寄來的郵包﹐內有殺戮宣言錄影帶和槍手的照片。NBC在晚間新聞時段播出一小段影帶﹐並把影帶內容和照片發放給其他傳媒。影帶的內容沒有什麼特別﹐只不過是一個精神病人對社會的暴力控訴。不過NBC的做法卻引起非議﹐認為他們播出兇徒的錄影帶會傷害死者家屬﹐也有專家認播出影帶達成兇徒的心願﹐可能引起模仿效應引起更多槍擊事件。另一方面也有人認為NBC播出錄影帶是正確的決定﹐因為公眾有知情權﹐而影帶也有助認清事情的真相。… [...] 馮德倫是香港發展最多元化的藝人﹐在幕前他曾經與雷頌德合組Dry樂隊﹐可惜他的歌藝平平﹐樂隊最終以拆伙收場。他曾參與多部電影和電視劇的演出﹐同樣他的演技也不甚出色﹐只靠賣靚仔怎樣也紅不起來。除了業餘表演魔術做得比較出色外﹐他看來沒有什麼觀眾緣。他在幕後倒有不錯的成績﹐他為很多紅歌星擔任唱片監製﹐不過我認為他最勝任的工作是當導演。他是少數能夠拍出叫好又叫座電影的香港新一代導演。「大佬愛美麗」是馮德倫第一套執導的電影﹐當年上映時票房不俗。他在照顧商業需要之餘﹐還展現出一些導演的個人風格。讓人意想不到的幽默橋段﹐大眾但不低俗的搞笑點子﹐奠定了馮德倫日後作品所走的路線。… [...] I met a professional tennis player over the weekend. 若果只看宣傳海報和故事簡介﹐少女向唯美主義的角色設計﹐四男一女的典型愛情線佈局﹐醜小鴨變天鵝的老土橋段﹐我一定會以為「完美小姐進化論」只不過是另一套漫畫改篇的少女動畫﹐不值得看。儘管這套動畫的表面證供叫男生敬而遠之﹐內裏其實是男女老幼皆宜的瘋狂爆笑喜劇。這套兩季完二十五集的中篇作品﹐改篇自早川智子的人氣漫畫﹐是套低成本的製作。劇中的配樂來來去去也只是那幾首﹐每集只是很刻板重覆播出﹐是編曲混音去配合劇情也欠奉。最初片頭的只是剪輯併貼劇中鏡頭﹐到了中期才有全新製作的主題曲音樂影像﹐不過也只是拍攝定格圖畫。這套動畫的畫面質素倒很平均﹐沒有外判工序導致人物走樣的問題。製作公司省錢的方法頗有創意﹐很多場面改用簡單線條的Q版人物﹐甚至連樣子也沒有的一舊雲人形也起用﹐節省成本之餘亦建立這作品的獨特風格。這些製作上的缺點絲毫沒有影響欣賞這作品的意慾﹐因為這動畫吸引人的地方﹐是其天馬行空的故事內容﹐幽默抵死極端無厘頭的笑料。我每個星期也下載追看﹐每個星期也有半個小時開懷大笑﹐暫時把生活煩惱忘掉。… [...]
