The pros and cons of VAT
Looks like the Economist agree with HST in principle. HST is not just tax raise, it changes the nature of federal tax from sales tax to value-added tax and it supposes to replace incoming tax as a more “fair” tax system. Now we has HST, when are they getting rid of the incoming tax?
Video games move online
Maybe I am no longer young, I don’t get the fun of playing online games. I think playing games in general is just a waste of time. I can’t believe how much time I had wasted playing games when I was young. If I can redeploy all those time, I could have earn a Ph.D degree.
Wine and sea food
Red wine may pair with seafood, as long as it is iron free. I wonder what about the iron-rich spinach? Should it stay away from seafood too?
Cheaper desalination
If the theory works and it can scale up, the one technology that solves world’s water problem, save the environment could very well comes from SFU, Vancouver. It would very neat if Vancouver turns out to be world’s water-tech center.
